Earth, A Cosmic Spectacle

Schools and Community Offer

This December, Everybody Arts welcomes artist Louise Beer to our gallery. Working closely with scientists, Louise explores how the universe’s 13.8-billion-year history highlights the cosmic significance of the climate crisis. Through digitally manipulated photography and soundscapes made in the Calder Valley, she juxtaposes Earth and space to reflect on life’s long development, the brevity of a lifetime, and the accelerating pace of environmental change.

Students and community members are invited to experience the night sky and respond creatively through drawing, writing, abstract colour, or other personal interpretations.

You can explore Earth, A Cosmic Spectacle through in-school or community workshops, artist-led gallery sessions, or self-guided visits with activity packs, all designed to inspire creativity and curiosity about the universe.
