Location: Calderdale Industrial Museum

Tuesday 30 July, 11-4pm Find out about the project and get free training on oral histories

Wednesday 31 July, 12-5pm Record oral histories, and help us shape what will be in the exhibition

Who is it for? The workshops are free and open to all aged 9+. We’re particularly interested in participants who are from South Asian communities.

What will we be doing? You’ll learn all about oral histories, and will record the stories of South Asian people who migrated to Halifax in the 1950s and 1960s, and worked in one of the local textile mills. You’ll be part of shaping an exhibition at Calderdale Industrial Museum, and ensuring that South Asian people are represented in the museum.
